Description

Prime Bank College of Nursing (PBCN) was designed to address two issues simultaneously: provide educational (and eventually employment) opportunities for those excluded from high quality medical training due to costs restraints, and to make a contribution to healthcare in Bangladesh by producing highly skilled and capable nurses. The medical sector in Bangladesh is severely restrained by the lack of availability of qualified health workers, making access to healthcare out of reach for the vast majority

Initially offering a 3 year Diploma in Nursing programme (approved by Bangladesh Nursing Council), the Prime Bank College of Nursing will eventually introduce B.Sc in Nursing degree courses. In order to instill the highest global standards in its graduates, PBCN is partnered with Cebu Normal University of the Philippines for technical assistance. Utilising cutting edge facilities and teaching aids, employing a highly experienced and well trained staff, and taking an innovative approach to training focused on interactive methodology, Prime Bank College of Nursing ensures that graduates leave with a world class education.

Beyond just producing highly qualified and capable nurses, the PBCN programme is unique in the holistic approach to nursing training that it adopts. Beyond just knowledge and practical skills, the curriculum emphasises professionalism, integrity, and compassion as fundamental values that are ingrained in all trainees. By placing equal emphasis on technical knowledge, practical skills, and the development of character and values, PBCN seeks not only to produce competent nurses, but raise the standards and expectations of health workers across the country.
